How do I use the Share tab in Session Recording results?
In this help, we'll explain the Share tab.
- How to share study results with people outside your team
- What the people viewing shared results can and cannot do
Share study results with people outside your team
In the share tab, you can pick one of the following options for sharing your study results with people outside your team:
- Private - The default option. Only the team that owns the study can view the results.
- Public - You will get a link which you can send to anyone you want to share your study results with. You can select which tabs and analysis will be visible to people viewing the study through this link.
- Protected - This option works the same as Public, but you can set a password to protect access to the results.
To apply any changes to the sharing settings, don't forget to press the "Save changes" button once you are done.
What the people viewing shared results can and cannot do
As a rule of thumb, the people viewing shared results through the link can view the results in the same way as the team can (except for any the tabs or analysis that you opted to hide). Here are some additional specifics regarding what viewers using the link can and cannot see:
- Sharing - When viewing the results through a share link, it is impossible to view or adjust the result sharing options. This functionality is reserved for team members.
- Visitor details - If you hide the Visitors tab from the share link, viewers will also be unable to view details about respondents from the other tabs.
- Session Player - If you hide the Visitors tab from the share link, viewers will also be unable to view session replays.
- Filtering presets - Link viewers will be able to use existing filtering presets, but they will be unable to create their own.
- Heatmaps - Link viewers will be able to view existing heatmaps, but they will be unable to create their own.
- Activity trackers - Link viewers will be able to view existing activity trackers, but they will be unable to create their own.
