Launching a Session Recording study
When your study setup is ready, you need to launch your study to start collecting results. After clicking Launch a pop-up window will appear. This gives you several options on how to run your study on your site:
- Manually install UXtweak snippet
- GTM-installed UXtweak snippet
Let’s take a closer look at them.
Manually installed UXtweak snippet
After choosing this option, your UXtweak snippet will appear. This snippet needs to be copied and pasted to the <head> of your site, after which it will allow testing of your website without installation by respondents. After you install the snippet on your website, you can use the same snippet for any future UXtweak studies on your website without the need to install the snippet again. The UXtweak tools that use the snippet are Session Recording, Website Testing and Onsite Recruiting Widget.
GTM-installed UXtweak snippet
After choosing this option, the Setup GTM. button appears. After clicking on this button, you will be prompted to sign in to your site’s Google Tag Manager. The snippet is tied to your team owner. After signing in, you can add your UXtweak snippet to your website automatically. Adding the snippet on your site allows users to take part in your study without needing to install anything on their end.
