How do I use the Screening tab in Mobile Testing?

In this help, we'll discuss how to use the Screening tab to:

• Block certain IP addresses from being recorded
• Set screening for OS versions

Block certain IP addresses from being recorded  

• Mobile Testing allows you to block certain IP addresses or IP ranges (e.g. if you want to block recording sessions from your own team)
• Either insert an exact IP adress or define an IP range using wildcards (e.g. 192.168.1.*)y
• Click Add IP to insert another IP address/range to block
• For example: You can use this feature to add the IP address of your company router. By doing so, you can prevent recording of sessions coming from your own employees.

Set screening for OS versions  

• Automatically screen out respondents based on the information that can be gained from their user agent information
• By default, all respondents who meet the minimum requirements for a Mobile Testing study (iOS versions 14 or Android versions 9.0 and later) are accepted in the study
• You further screen out respondents by their specific OS version
• Either select only record from allowed OS versions to create a allowlist or select never record from blocked OS versions to create a blocklist
• Click Select versions to pick which ones should or shouldn't be recorded (depending on what you chose in the previous step)
